GREATER LINDEN DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION

Linden Area Commissions

At Area Commission meetings, you can learn how our neighborhood connects with the City of Columbus. The South, North and North Central Area Commissions were created by the City to serve as extensions of City Council.  They review and make recommendations to the City for rezoning requests, approve the demolition of abandoned and vacant properties, address neighborhood concerns and complaints, and help connect residents with City services.

Greater Linden Advisory Council

The Greater Linden Advisory Council (GLAC) is another way for Linden residents to be a voice for the community and represent community interests.  This resident-based organization works closely with GLDC to identify and mobilize assets of the community; cooperatively address neighborhood issues and concerns; and promote a more desirable image for the Greater Linden area.  GLAC is open to all Linden residents.  With your active involvement, GLDC and the Advisory Council could better achieve our goals of neighborhood revitalization.

Greater Linden Business Network

The Greater Linden Business Network provides networking, training and resource opportunities for local businesses.   Their monthly meetings frequently feature informative speakers presenting valuable information to help local businesses grow and prosper, and are open to all businesses and prospective businesses.  Businesses can also earn membership benefits and support the Linden business community by becoming a paid member.  GLBN’s dues are nominal and good for one-year from the date of joining.

Greater Linden Blockwatch Alliance

Have a concerning regarding safety in your neighborhood?  The Greater Linden Blockwatch Alliance was created to assist residents with concerns regarding safety and crime and to strengthen the partnership between residents and the Columbus Division of Police.  The Blockwatch Alliance encourages and helps with the formation of neighborhood Blockwatches -- neighbors ‘watching out for their block” to promote safety and prevent crime.
