Greater Linden Development Corporation (GLDC) coordinates several initiatives that build community pride, identity and cohesiveness, and implements programs that build resident capacity. GLDC’s community building services include the bi-monthly publication of Linden’s community newspaper (The Greater Linden News), a Welcome Wagon program for new Linden residents (both renters and homeowners), community clean up events, financial fitness programs, and recognition contests such as the Beautiful Business and Handsome House contests.
In addition, GLDC partners closely with and provides technical assistance and administrative support to several resident groups (such as the Area Commissions and the Greater Linden Advisory Council).
